Alpine Renault Ultimate Portfolio 1958-1995 - Road Test Books

Alpine was really the only sports car volume manufacturer in France until the seventies, but inspite of this and the outstanding competition history of the company, the history of Alpine is seldom treated seriously outside France. In 1946 Jean Redele took charge of his father's Renault agency in Dieppe which gave him the opportunity to take up serious racing and rallying and in 1952 he won the Sport 750 class of the Mille Miglia. Many other model and racing successes followed including winning the 1973 World Rally Championship and in 1978 an Alpine A442b won Le Mans. In 1995 the decision was taken by Renault to end Alpine production after 40 years. A portfolio of over 60 articles tracing the progress of the Alpine Renaults between 1958 & 1995. Included are new model intros, road, comparison and long term tests plus historical features and a comprehensive buyers guide. Models covered: A106, A108, A110, A310, GTA, GTA Turbo, A610 and R5 turbo. A total of 208 pages, 30 full colour. SB. SKU: ALPUP ISBN: 9781855207424
